HISTORY

Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino made a huge contribution to the educational development of the ancient and eternally young Bukhoro-i-Sharif, which is 30 years old. It was founded in October 1990. In March 1991, by the decision of the Presidium of the Bukhara Regional Council of People’s Deputies, the name “Abu Ali ibn Sino” appeared. The Faculty of Medicine was established in 1991, the Faculty of Dentistry – in 1992, the Department of Highly Qualified Nurses – in 1999, the Department of Medical Pedagogy – in 2001, and the Department of Pediatrics – in 2016. As of 2018, 2 new directions have been established in the field of medical prevention and medical biology.

THE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY

Bukhara State Medical Institute is engaged in educational activities for the implementation of basic and supplementary education programs of higher education, as well as carries out teaching-pedagogical, scientific-methodological, and other activities. INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

International cooperation is an integral part of the activities of Bukhara State Medical Institute and an important tool in ensuring the quality of education and its compliance with international standards. This work is carried out within the framework of cooperation programs with leading foreign universities, the implementation of international educational programs and projects, the implementation of joint research activities, the organization of scientific and practical seminars and conferences, the exchange of teaching staff, and the development of student mobility. Bukhara State Medical Institute maintains stable ties with many foreign universities and international organizations in Asia and Europe. About Institute

Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute was founded on 26.07.1974. It is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large town of Jizzakh. Institute provides a high-quality education process for local and international students to study pedagogy and social sciences in Uzbekistan. Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute provides improving the qualifications of professors and teachers of the higher educational institution in Postgraduate and Doctoral Courses of Pedagogy in English medium of instruction. Accommodation

Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute provides international students in Uzbekistan with Student Dormitory with renovated apartments needed for comfortable living facilities. All students have permanent access to reading rooms, the Institute Library, recreation room, hygiene room, laundry room, storage room, common kitchens on every floor or block of rooms, gym, and other needed places. The state of the Student Hostel is studied by the management of the Institute and public organizations based on a special plan, the results of which are discussed at scientific councils. The Rector, Vice-Rectors, Deans, and Commandants are responsible for the cleanliness and sanitary condition of the Student Dormitory, the inviolability of students ‘ residences, and the effectiveness of educational work. Every international student lives in a typical two-person dorm room. It’s partitioned into four suites, with eight people per suite. In each suite, there are two-person single rooms and three two-person rooms. Each suite has a bathroom with a single shower, toilet, and two sinks. You also have a small kitchen. There are two common rooms per floor, where there are couches are tables to work at.

International Cooperation

The Institute pays great attention to international cooperation and exchange student programs. In particular, a total of 16 international agreements were signed with Moscow State Pedagogical University, Bashkortostan State Pedagogical University, Bashkortostan State University, Russian Nuclear Research Scientific Center, Norwich (Great Britain), Shimkent University, INSHA, Baranovichi State University, Tula State Pedagogical University, Taraz State Pedagogical Institute (Kazakhstan), St. Petersburg Botanical Research Institutes. Cooperation agreements on the exchange of professors and students between the Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after T. Shevchenko and Chernihiv named after T. Shevchenko were also provided. About University

The Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sport is considered a single fundamental high educational Institution to study Sports Science in Uzbekistan. The Institute was founded in 1935 to train highly qualified experts in physical education in Uzbekistan. The University is officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of Uzbekistan. Institute also provides a study of Medicine to train highly skilled and professional experts to become prominent specialists in the medical fields both in Uzbekistan and abroad. There is also the Uzbek-Belarusian Joint Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports, and Tourism, which was introduced in 2019. The joint faculty is an agreement between the university and the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture to provide students with the opportunity to study and practice in both Uzbekistan and Belarus. Uzbek State University of Physical education and Sport provides its international students in Uzbekistan with modern and equipped apartments. The dorm rooms are divided into single and double rooms. About Academy

In the 2021-2022 academic years, the Termez branch of Tashkent Medical Academy ensures a high-level education process for more than 2,500 students of Undergraduate Education Courses and Clinical Residency programs to study medicine in Uzbekistan. Over 125 professors-teachers work as main staff of the branch and teach young and prominent specialists in the field of healthcare and disease prevention. There are 20 Doctors of Science, 20 Candidates of Science, Associate Professors, and Doctors of Philosophy (Ph.D.) among them which provide high-quality study abroad in Uzbekistan. Termez branch of Tashkent Medical Academy provides access to all technologies and modern facilities needed for the study medical science in Uzbekistan. Free internet service has been launched at the Information Resource Center (IRC). Students are free to use video-conferencing devices and effectively applied them in educational processes. More than 22 electronic boards and 6 video projectors have been installed to implement modern information technology and new pedagogical technologies in the educational process. Computer classes provide free access to over 170 modern computers used for the educational process to study IT in Uzbekistan. The General Literature Fund in the Termez Branch Information Resource Center is the main resource of information for international students and university staff. It consists of over 15,500 text editions in 909 titles. As of 2021, there were nearly 9,500 textbooks with 314 titles; 4555 educational manuals with 203 titles; 400 books of political literature with 112 titles; 524 monographs with 51 titles; 387 items of fiction literature with 189 titles purchased. MBBS/General Medicine course is the most demanded in all medical education in Uzbekistan. The duration of the Medical courses is 6 years. Within 5 years, the students learn biomedical, paraclinical, and humanitarian subjects. The 6th year is devoted to clinical rotation.

Accommodation

The Termez Branch of Tashkent Medical Academy offers a dormitory for its international students. University offers 5 Student Hostels with 1740 beds and currently accommodates 1720 students. It is situated near the Campus of Termez Branch and it takes only 10 minutes to go by foot to the Termez Branch educational building. All students are provided with free access to laundry and sports objects ( football fields, volleyball and basketball courts, gyms, and tennis courts) reservations. Boys and girls live separately in dormitories. Each room is shared by 2-3 people. Amongst the items provided for every student are a mattress, bedsheet, pillow, pillowcase, quilt case, blanket, and quilt. Tashkent State University of Economics was established in 1931 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s capital city. It is one of the largest higher education establishments in the sphere of study economics in Uzbekistan and in Central Asia. Nowadays, more than 6,000 students are studying at TSEU. Tashkent University of Information Technologies (formerly Tashkent Electrotechnical Institute of Communications) was established in 1955. It was the major and only producer of communication engineers for the Central Asian region. Today, it is one of the major universities to nurture ICT talent in Uzbekistan. The University and its regional branches have 13 schools to study IT in Uzbekistan and 62 departments. Practical training is being held in 23 areas and specialties of higher technical education, including 18 majors of undergraduate courses in IT and 29 specialties of master studies. The university provides safe and comfortable accommodations for students who choose to live in the university’s housing. The university provides 24-hour security and support services, including access to medical attention, when needed, laundry and dry cleaning services, and internet access. Uzbekistan State University of World Languages is one of the leading universities in Tashkent city and Uzbekistan. The University of Uzbek State World Languages was established under the name of Tashkent State Pedagogy and Foreign Languages Institute in 1949. In 1992, after gaining independence, both the title and name of the institution were changed to the university and World Languages. All the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages dormitory rooms are equipped, and the size and amount of conveniences vary. Two or three students can share a room at a hostel. There are open places where students can socialize and have fun. The International Relations Department of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University has been functioning on the basis of the tasks arising from the “National Program on Preparation of the Specialists”, and also performs such functions as training highly qualified personnel, upgrading the teaching staff of the university in the best higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, along with leading universities and scientific centers of the world. Termez State University was founded in 1992. It is a non-profit public higher education institution situated in the City of Termez, in the far south of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was reorganized on February 28, 1992, by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. There are more than 630 highly qualified teaching staff educating students at University and also 31 doctorate students, 360 master’s students, and about 13,500 undergraduate students. Accommodation

Namangan State University is pleased to guarantee places at its dormitory for all the students, who come from other cities or countries. The building is located not far from the studying campuses. The supermarkets, cafes, and sports centers are in the same area. All the premises are fully furnished and ensured with modern conveniences like cold and hot water, electricity, free Wi-Fi, central heating during the winter, etc. The dormitories are safe, owing to the surveillance cameras and strict pass system. The outdoor territory is surrounded by supermarkets, cafes, coffee bars, banks, and sports centers. The female and male students live separately. Each room is shared by 2-3 people. About Institute

Navoi State Pedagogical Institute was established by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Uzbek USSR in 1983. By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 28, 1992, it was granted the status of Navoi State Pedagogical Institute. Navoi State Pedagogical Institute is located in 6 areas of the city. Students can study pedagogy in English in 8 educational buildings for 5600 seats, take their sports classes in 5 renovated sports fields and 2 gyms, and enjoy their national or local Uzbek food in 3 student kitchens. It started with the faculties of Uzbek language, literature, physics, and mathematics and has since expanded to include faculties of foreign languages, physical education, medicine, history, arts, natural sciences, and English language and literature. The university has eight buildings which are spread across six different sections of the city of Navoi. It has in the region of 8,000 full-time students, the vast majority of undergraduates, and more than 5,000 part-time students including several hundred who study in the evening. It is set for continued expansion, with the national government in October 2021 announcing plans for another 6,000 student places and 20 new disciplines in pedagogy. The international relations department was created in 2018. Partnership agreements for students wanted to study MBBS abroad have recently been signed with Malaysia’s Management and Science University and for e-training with Sunderland University.

Each faculty offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Each program is introduced in the English language. The most demanded are courses in MBBS and Information Technologies. The institute prepares bachelor's in 27 fields of study and master's in 17 fields. The amount of undergraduate local and international students in full-time education is 7,755, in correspondence – 1,152, in special correspondence – 1,053, and the number of students in the magistracy is 180 people.

Accommodation

The Institute has comfortable dormitories, where international students may study and live throughout the whole academic year. It is a completely renovated and well-furnished building surrounded by parks and food stores. Every dorm building has a convenient location - near the city center, bus stop, or 10-15 minutes from the Institute. The boys and girls live separately. Each room is shared by 2-3 people. All the rooms are fully furnished and equipped with double-glazed windows, which keep warm during the winter season. The dormitory always provides essential amenities like hot and cold water, good lighting, a common kitchen, laundry, 24-hour Wi-Fi zone. It also has a hall for cultural events and a gym. Especially great care is taken about the nutrition of students: there are two canteens on the territory of the institute, one of which specializes in the preparation of national dishes. Navoi State Pedagogical Institute devotes particular attention to the local and international students’ safety: there is special security, a pass system, and video surveillance. The main routes from the dormitory to the campuses are protected and patrolled by officers of the guard service.

Fergana Medical Institute was established in 1991 and is located in the city of Fergana, Uzbekistan. Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health ranks 8th position among all medical universities in Uzbekistan. University operates as a Medical Center of Fergana State University. A few years later, University was given the status of a government medical institute and was renamed Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health. Nowadays university is one of the most popular places to study MBBS in Uzbekistan. It provides a long-cycle degree in medicine and undergraduate and postgraduate courses in healthcare sciences. Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent is a non-profit public higher education institution in Uzbekistan. Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent was established in 2009 in partnership with Politecnico di Torino, Italy. University provides a studying process for over 1,600 students in the field of technical studies and engineering courses. TTPU's main objective is to prepare specialists for the automotive, mechanical engineering, electrical industries, and companies in the field of civil engineering and construction, and the power industry, following the educational programs adopted in collaboration with Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Applicants can study languages, cultures, and the implications of social, political, economic, and technological change in Uzbekistan through the encouragement of study, and scientific research off-campus and abroad. The Dormitory of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (TPUT) is a 4-story building providing conditions for a comfortable stay for foreign teachers and international students. The Tashkent State Pedagogical University was founded on September 14, 1935, as a pedagogical institute based on the pedagogical faculty of Central Asian State University. On February 24, 1998, the Institute was accreditated by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The highly qualified scientific and pedagogical staff of the University provide high-quality education for students wanted to study at Uzbek university. About Institute

Samarkand State Medical University was founded by the decision of the Government of the Republic in 1930. During its glorious history, Institute has passed a long way toward becoming one of the leading medical universities not only in Uzbekistan but also in the entire Central Asian region. Students have the opportunity to study MBBS in Uzbekistan and get the knowledge and skills needed for performing professional duties in the fields of healthcare and disease prevention. The Samarkand State Medical Institute (since April 2022 – the University) received a special development after the republic achieved independence. In 1997, the country adopted the “National Training Program”, and in 1998, the state program for health care reform, which resulted in the creation of the Faculty of Higher Nursing in 1999. Institute offers Undergraduate courses in Medicine, Masters and Doctoral courses to improve skills and study medical science from another side. It is the best institution in Uzbekistan for over prominent 8,100 students. At Samarkand State Medical University there are 83 departments to study medicine and biology, including courses where 624 scientists and teachers conduct scientific and pedagogical activities.
