About University

Tashkent State University of Economics was established in 1931 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s capital city. It is one of the largest higher education establishments in the sphere of study economics in Uzbekistan and in Central Asia.

Nowadays, more than 6,000 students are studying at TSEU. The number of professors is nearly 500, which has strong research potential in the field of basic and applied research in economics. The University provides its students with access to the latest modern technology and teaching methods, a large number of computer classes, and an Information Resource Center.

TSEU was the first international American-style business school in Uzbekistan and has gained note by building relationships with notable universities in the US, Great Britain, and Germany. It maintains the largest university library in Central Asia. TSEU also serves as the base university on economic education in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The main missions of the university are the scientific substantiation of solutions to economic problems in terms of integration of science, education, and production, training of qualified personnel with modern economic knowledge and practical skills, competitive in the labor market for industries, and active participation in the development and implementation of innovative technologies in the sustainable development of the country.

Accommodation

Tashkent State University of Economics has about 1000 students from different countries. The university offers a variety of services to students. Among them, students have the opportunity to live and feel comfortable in renovated Students Dormitories which Alte University provides. Hostel rooms equipped for two or three persons with modern furniture, beds, and free available WI-FI. 

Students also have the opportunity to visit libraries, gyms, cultural or art clubs, and spend their free time on Campus territory. Hostels usually have a convenient location, therefore it takes students only 10-15 minutes to go by foot or public transport to Alte University. 

University provides well-equipped accommodations for students with separate spaces for boys and girls, bedding, free WI-Fi, three-times fresh and healthy meals, and 24-hours security. Students can feel safe and supported at the hostel, making sure our campuses are secured. The great benefit of accommodation is the convenient location and free access to all city transport.

International Cooperation 

Today, Tashkent State Economic University implements joint educational programs in cooperation with 9 foreign higher educational institutions. A total of 1,441 students are enrolled in this joint educational program. Relations of international cooperation have been established with 163 higher educational institutions in 38 foreign countries.

The main purpose of the cooperation is to improve the quality of education, exchange of experience, joint research, publication of scientific publications, exchange of professors, doctoral students, and students, and training of personnel on the basis of joint educational programs.

Active participation within bilateral partnership agreements and European programs has promoted wide cooperation activities within the ERASMUS+ program. The number of agreements with European partner universities has grown tremendously within the last 5 years anticipating more intensive exchanges of students and teachers. At present, the Tashkent State University of Economy has signed more than 1000 agreements with 450 educational institutions in 33 European programs and over 35 Inter-institutional agreements with 17 partner countries.
