SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a leading higher education institution in Poland. It ranks among the top 6 percent of research institutions in Poland and has been granted the A+ category in Social Sciences in the assessment conducted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The University was established in 1996 by three eminent professors of Psychology and after more than twenty years of dynamic growth, University is proud to be a strong community of over 300 permanent faculty of researchers and experienced academics teaching over 14,500 students enrolled in 35 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.
SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities offers 16 programs taught in English to over 1,100 international students from more than 80 countries. All the degree programs are accredited by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland and are recognized within the European Union.
With over 20 research centers and nearly 600 authors of scholarly papers, affiliated with SWPS University, it remains one of the most dynamic research universities in Poland. Psychology is the strongest SWPS University field of expertise comprising more than 60 percent of the academic output in English and securing the majority of research grants.
SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities international partners include University College London, the University of Lincoln, Bath Spa University, the University of Northampton, the University of Surrey, Tilburg University, and the University of Groningen. The institutional partners include Renmin University of China, SUSTech, and Arizona State University.
SWPS University is located in five major Polish cities: Warsaw, Wrocław, Sopot, Poznań, and Katowice. The main campus is situated in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. All the campuses are spacious, modern, well equipped, and have become integral parts of the cities where they are located.
Private student accommodation is located within a walking distance from the Warsaw campus of SWPS University. It is a brand-new building that offers an urban lifestyle in an all-in-one formula, including spaces for living, studying, and creative projects. Club room for socializing and entertainment, laundry facilities, chill out space, including kitchen, tables for eating or working, TV, and couches are free to use for all the students.

Warsaw’s Old Town is the jewel in the Polish capital’s crown. It delights visitors with its colorful tenement houses and the unique atmosphere of its narrow streets. You can visit the Museum of Warsaw or follow the Old Town Cellars Route. See also the barbican and the bell on Kanonia street, take a stroll along the old city walls, and take a photo of the Vistula from the observation point at Gnojna Góra. Step into the cathedral, which houses the tombs of the medieval Mazovian princes.
