General Information

The People’s Friendship University of Russia is a public higher education institution in Russia. RUDN started accepting students in 1960. RUDN University was considered the Oxford of Russia in the mid-1980s due to the fame it achieved within a short period. 

At this time more than 28,000 students of undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate courses representing about 1000 nations and nationalities from 152 countries of the world study at the University. These are young people from Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe, almost from all republics of the former Soviet Union as well as representatives of autonomies and regions of multinational Russia. International students are organized in student associations by country and region. 

Being one of the most prestigious universities in Russia, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia never leaves the top 20 according to national ratings. The university is in the top 5% of the most prestigious educational institutions on the planet. The academic staff includes more than 2200 teachers and professors. Student exchange programs are one of the draws of the university.

Accommodation and Housing

The people’s Friendship University of Russia provided fully furnished and aesthetically designed hostel facilities on the university campus on a sharing basis. The international students are provided beds on a sharing basis. Every hostel resident has free access to the University canteen and all common kitchens on every floor.  The students will get access to available 24/7 Wi-Fi facilities in the hostel.

All modern amenities are available including pillows, blankets, bedsheets, beds, tables, chairs, etc. One common kitchen in every block of rooms is available for students to cook food on their own. Regular electricity and water supply are available for students.
