About University

 

Central Ukrainian National Technical University (CUNTU) is one of the leading higher educational institutions in central Ukraine. A technical university in Kropyvnytskyi. Formed in 1998 under the name of Kirovohrad State Technical University on the basis of the Kirovohrad Institute of Agricultural Machine Building (est in 1967).

Central Ukrainian National Technical University which is situated in Kropyvnytskyi provides training in different fields from agricultural engineering to metalworking. The University has the highest accreditation level as well as Military faculty.

The University plays a central role in the training of qualified specialists in the central Ukrainian region. There are more than five thousand students studying in 40 specialties and two colleges of the university.

Fundamental, professional, and humanitarian training of specialists is ensured by a high level of the scientific and pedagogical potential of the University. Postgraduate studies, Doctoral studies, specialized Dissertation Supervisory Committees for candidates, and doctoral theses function successfully. The university has all the necessary infrastructure for studying and living: hostels, dining rooms, cafes, recreation facilities, etc.

Faculties and Specialties

FACULTY OF AUTOMATION AND ENERGY 

The Electromechanical department served as a basis for the Faculty of Automation and Energy in 1983. Currently, almost 500 Ukrainian and international students are acquiring knowledge.

Faculty provides training in such fields as

• Automation and computer-integrated technologies;
• Electricity, electronics, and electrical engineering;
• Power and automation of the agricultural sector.

Obtaining a Master’s degree students are trained in the areas listed below:

• Computerized control systems and automatics.
• Computer Integrated and robotic systems.
• Electrical power system,
• Energy Management;
• Power and automation of the agricultural sector.

Three departments constitute a part of the faculty:

• Automation of production processes;
• Electrical systems and energy management;
• Physical Education.

Up-to-date both material and technical basis, skilled teaching staff who involve students in various research works. Postgraduate and Doctoral education is also available at the Faculty.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING FACULTY

Three major fields (Technology of Mechanical Engineering, Machines, and Tools; Machinery and Technology Foundry; Machinery and Technology of Processing of Metals Pressure) constitute the basis for Mechanical Engineering Faculty. Over 600 students are gaining knowledge in this department.

Five departments are included in the Faculty:

The Department of Machine Tools and Systems;

• Department of Manufacturing Engineering;
• Department of Materials Science and Foundry;
• Department of Metal Forming and Special Technology;
• Department of Programming and Information Security.

Advanced teaching methods and up-to-day technical basis are provided at the University.

In the educational process faculty widely used modern methods of training, and technical means. Faculty laboratories are equipped with cutting-edge technology that is continually being updated.  More than ten faculty manuals have been published by teachers in the previous five years.

Students are actively involved in scientific research at the faculty. They were all enrolled in post-graduate programs.

THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT

Faculty founded in 2005 serves on the basis of one of the oldest university departments – Business Economics and Management of Organizations and Personnel Management.

Future experts in economics are being trained in the areas listed below:

• Documentation and Information Activities;
• International Economics;
• Economy Enterprises;
• Personnel Management and Labor Economics;

The faculty carries out the following forms of education: stationary trains for part-time and reduced forms of training, retraining the second specialty.

The highly qualified teaching staff consists of 11 doctors, and professors; 68 candidates of science, and associate professors; 8 of them full members and corresponding members of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine.

All classrooms are well-equipped for obtaining both knowledge and experience from skilled teachers. It is drawn much attention to training in applied mathematical sciences, foreign languages, and sciences specialization.

FACULTY OF ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE

In 2005 Faculty of Accounting and Finance was established.

Five departments are included in the faculty:

• Accounting;
• Auditing and Taxation;
• Economic theory;
• Finance and Planning;
• Marketing and Economic Cybernetics.

All classrooms are well-equipped for obtaining both knowledge and experience from skilled teachers. It is drawn much attention to training in applied mathematical sciences, foreign languages, and sciences disciplines.

Central Ukrainian National Technical University and the University of Economy (WSG) situated in Poland concluded an agreement concerning a dual Master’s degree in “Accounting and Auditing”. This partnership breaks new ground in educational, scientific, and research areas.

FACULTY OF DESIGN AND EXPLOITATION OF MACHINES

1996 was the year of the establishment of the Faculty of Design and Exploitation of Machines (FDEM). Road transport, Sector engineering, Applied Mechanics, as well as Industrial and civil engineering are trained according to the Bachelor’s and Mater’s degree programs.

Currently, almost 600 students from Ukraine and other countries are obtaining degrees.

 After earning a Master’s degree students become skilled experts in the following fields:

• computer diagnostics and technical service of cars and logistics in road transport;
• computerized design and design of building and road machines;
• maintenance, repair, and restoration of machines and structures;
• the technical expertise in buildings, and real estate.

FACULTY OF AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING

Since 1967, the year of the establishment of the faculty, the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering keeps the lead in providing high-quality education for such areas as agricultural engineering, agriculture, and ecology as well as environmental protection.

The faculty includes the following departments:

• Agricultural machinery;
• General agriculture;
• Ecology and Environment;
• Foreign languages.

Advanced teaching methods, up-to-date facilities, and training manuals are applied to develop and enhance students’ skills and knowledge.

Accommodation 

 

Central Ukrainian National Technical University also has its own campus with 4 hostels. There are 1705 beds places in campus. Usually, up to three students are accommodated in each room.  Beds, tables, and chairs are all provided in the rooms. The hostels have the following facilities: a lounge, a sports ground, a kitchen on each floor, and sanitary facilities. Internet is also available in the hostels.
