Hungary has a continental climate with four distinct seasons. Summers (June to August) are warm, with temperatures averaging around 25–30°C (77–86°F). Winters (December to February) can be cold, with temperatures often dropping below 0°C (32°F) and occasional snowfall. Spring and autumn offer mild temperatures, making them ideal seasons for exploring the country. Hungary’s varied climate allows students to experience different seasonal activities, from summer festivals to winter markets.
