About Institute

 

Tashkent State Dental Institute was founded in 2014. A high-quality education is provided by the institute in the fields of Physiology and Pathology, Surgery, General Medicine, Orthopaedic, etc. with its state-of-the-art infrastructure and technologically advanced classrooms, the institute is an excellent setting for anyone interested in pursuing a medical career.

Today, training at the institute is carried out in 2 areas of education at undergraduate dentistry studies, 5 specialties of postgraduate medical courses, and 9 areas of clinical residency in Uzbek hospitals. The number of students is about 2,000, including 50 students with Masters and 164 clinical residents.

The main goal of the Tashkent State Dental Institute is to train highly qualified medical personnel in the field of dental medicine following international requirements and standards of Uzbek medical education, strengthen and develop a material-technical base that meets modern requirements of the educational process, provide theoretical and practical training to future stomatologists to master their skills. 

The main activities of students of dental courses are the implementation of scientific and practical research and development in the field of dentistry, maxillofacial surgery, and other areas, including using the latest achievements of biotechnology, cell, and regenerative medicine. 

Faculties

 

The Tashkent State Dental Institute constitutes of the following faculties:

  • Faculty of Physiology and Pathology
  • Department of Surgery
  • Faculty of General Medicine
  • Faculty of Gynecology and Obs
  • Faculty of Paediatrics
  • Faculty of Orthopaedics

All the courses are available in English medium. Every faculty offers Undergraduate dental courses and Postgraduate MBBS programs. The most demanded program among international students is General Medicine, which lasts 6 years.  

The mission of the Tashkent State Dental Institute is to achieve and maintain high-quality standards in medical education, scientific research, provision of medical care, and continuous professional development of doctors, as well as to promote national values in the modern conditions of globalization. 

Accommodation

 

Hostels are available for all international students at Tashkent State Dental Institute. Each hostel room is fully furnished, safe, and supplied with hot and cold water throughout the year. Additionally, students have access to a common kitchen where they can prepare their food. The students have access to a laundry system, guest seating, and 24-hour Wi-Fi. Additionally, the gym is available for those with a fitness interest. For those who wish to study outside their rooms, the hostel also has a study room. Security at the hostel is high, and guests must present valid IDs to gain access.

In case of any inconveniences or problems with the hostel service, a person can address the hostel supervisor, available every day of the week, and fix the issue immediately. The boys and girls live separately. Each room is shared by 2-3 people. 

International Cooperation

 

Tashkent State Dental Institute also has partnerships with many other universities, located all around the globe, Furthermore, Tashkent State Dental Institute encourages the exchange of both students and faculty, which greatly helped to establish scientific relationships with global universities to boost research opportunities.

Under the Erasmus+, the Tashkent State Dental Institute currently has 45 Erasmus partners in 7 countries, offering exchange to students and staff in 4 professional higher education study programs – Dentistry, Physician Assistant, MBBS, and Gynecology. The partnerships are reviewed and evaluated, to strengthen each relationship. 

The objective of participation in the Erasmus+ program is to continue the improvement of the quality and relevance of Health Care Education, high-skill professionalism, and research activities, and increase the competence and motivation of students and teachers. Participation in Erasmus+ projects is building awareness about different Health Care systems and equipping students and teachers with the skills that are necessary to meet all the future challenges of providing care in a transcultural society.
