The MBBS course usually lasts for 5-6 years and starts with the studying of basic pre and para-clinical subjects such as Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, and Pharmacology. The students simultaneously obtain hands-on training in the wards and outpatient departments, where they interact with real patients. The student is taught to determine what investigations will be useful for a patient and what the best treatment options are. The studying process consists of obtaining theoretical knowledge and practical skills for performing standard clinical procedures. The course also contains a 12-month-long internship, in which an intern is rotated across various specialties. Besides standard medical care and treatment of diseases, one also gets a thorough experience in ward management, staff management, and specific counseling skills.
All international students have their classes in groups of 8-12 students. Second-year students take clinical classes where they can gain experience with nursing patients. Students have clinical courses from their third year of study. Students have the opportunity to study any topic of interest and acquire knowledge in specialized medical departments. It is important to complete a six-year studying program, and have all courses completed before students are eligible to graduate.
The medium of instruction in the Medical faculty is English. The admission requirements differ across universities. Generally, students who attain higher marks in the qualifying examinations and the Medical Entrance Examinations conducted by various agencies are accepted onto the MBBS course.
For the first 3 years of training, students are mainly focused on theoretical subjects in the departments of Biology, Medical Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Human Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Latin and Foreign Languages, and Social Sciences. During the last 3,5 years, students are offered extensive practical training in various fields of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Public Health, and Disease Prevention. The studying process allows them to study how to determine the leading clinical symptoms and syndromes, using preliminary data of the patient’s anamnesis, data of the patient’s examination, knowledge about the person, their organs, and systems, and establish a probable nosological or syndromic preliminary clinical diagnosis of dental diseases. Students are taught how to collect information about the general condition of the patient, determine the final clinical diagnosis in accordance with the relevant ethical and legal norms, diagnose urgent conditions in all circumstances, plan and implement measures to prevent dental diseases among the population, prevent the spread of dental diseases and carry out treatment of major dental diseases according to existing algorithms and standard schemes.
First years of the Course students spend studying mostly theoretical disciplines, and from the fourth year, they begin to study clinical disciplines. The Departments of Anatomy, Histology, Normal Physiology, Biochemistry, and General Chemistry in our partner Universities with their great traditions in the organization of the educational process, and highly qualified teachers usually do curriculums and schedules for teaching their disciplines, considering the specifics of the department.
All Departments in our partner Universities have well-equipped studying rooms for students to master the introductory course, and the necessary number of visual aids and special equipment has been purchased. Both teachers and students are involved in the edition of manuals at the university. The Laboratory of Metal-Ceramics and the Laboratory of High-Frequency Melting and Casting of Dental Prostheses are specially equipped in all our partner Universities.
Students study the main current problems of Dentistry as caries, periodontosis, and diseases of the mucous membrane in the mouth cavity at special Dental Offices. The main objective of the Department of Dentistry in our partner Universities is to improve higher dental education and increase the quality of training young and prominent dentists. The Dental Departments have developed and applied a set of methodological ways to optimize the educational process, focused on strengthening the student’s cognitive activity, developing the habit of educational and research work, and providing creative methods of approach to professional activity. The Department of Dentistry assists students in acquiring a deep knowledge of Dental Science.

Practical Pharmacy covers contemporary healthcare roles and clinical services, together with medication review for more traditional services including dispensing and compounding.
