ABOUT UNIVERSITY

Kuban State Agrarian University is a higher educational institution with a rich history, progressive present, and reliable future. It was founded in 1922. The traditions established by our teachers and students of several generations are a secure foundation for its development. Since its foundation, the University has prepared more than 130000 specialists. At the moment more than 17000 students are studying on 17 faculties as full-time or correspondence students.
The University Campus consists of 22 academic and laboratory buildings, 20 dormitories for 9000 students, a modern sports complex with a swimming pool and a UEFA stadium, and even its own policlinic and a sanitarium. Foreign prospective students are welcome to study Russian at KubSAU Preparation Faculty language courses.
For making research work our University disposes of 2 Research Institutes, an artificial climate center, 2 profitable training experimental farms, an experimental station, and a library with more than a million publications.

ACCOMMODATION

Kuban State Agrarian University campus consists of twenty dormitories, which are homes for more than 8000 students, which is 96% of those who are in need. All first-year students are provided with accommodation in hostels. Educational work in the hostels is aimed at improving living conditions, compliance with internal regulations, the lack of anti-social phenomena in the youth environment. Living conditions in campus dormitories fully comply with sanitary standards and requirements. There are fitted kitchens, showers, a laundry, reading rooms, self-study rooms, room for student council meetings. The student council organizes the work of self-care in order to improve students living conditions.

ABOUT THE CITY

Krasnodar is a city located in southern Russia, the capital of Krasnodar Krai. It is also known as the southern capital of Russia. The city stands on the right bank of the Kuban River, about 120-150 km from the Black and Azov Seas, 1340 km south of Moscow.

In Krasnodar, there is a unique architectural monument – an open-worked hyperboloid construction made of steel – a water tower built by the design of the scientist and engineer Vladimir Grigoryevich Shukhov in 1928. The construction is located near the circus building at the crossroads of V.Golovaty and Rashpilevskaya streets.

Besides, the following monuments of Krasnodar are of federal importance: the building of Krasnodar Philharmonic Society; M.S.Kuznetsov’s house (1888-1900), where a conservatory is located.

The monument “Zaporozhian Cossacks Writing a Letter to the Turkish Sultan” was opened in the city in 2008. It is located at the crossroads of Krasnaya and Gorky streets.

In 2009, at the intersection of Krasnaya and Babushkina streets, near the reconstructed fountain, Alexander Triumphal Arch was opened. Originally it was erected in honor of the visit of Emperor Alexander III.

In 2011, Krasnodar received one of the largest light-color fountains in Russia. You can find it at Theater Square.
