About University 

 

Kazimieras Simonavičius University is a private research university in Vilnius, Lithuania. The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania licensed the former Vilnius Academy of Business Law on August 26, 2003. In 2012, the university changed its name to honor Kazimierz Siemienowic, a military engineer, artillery specialist, and pioneer of rocketry.

The main campus of Kazimieras Simonavičius University is located in Vilnius, and the university maintains a second campus in Klaipėda.

The University offers 11 Bachelor’s, 5 Master’s, and 1 Integrated program, as well as life-long learning studies and courses. Lecturers at KSU use innovative teaching methods. Students are encouraged to use the latest modern technologies during studies and project work.

Opportunities abound for creativity and self-expression in all KSU programs: in all the study programs students are taught to integrate scientific knowledge, technological innovation, and art. The University also supports students’ participation in the entrepreneurial contest and projects, engages social partners in the study process, providing opportunities for students to solve real-life problems.

International Cooperation 

 

Kazimieras Simonavičius University is a member of three international consortia:

  • BUSINET (Global Business Education Network) – a network with more than 100 higher education institutions from 27 countries for sharing best practices, and scientific resources, developing the exchanges between the faculty and students, and development of inter-institutional relations.
  • Compostela Group of Universities is an organization that brings together 67 universities from around the world. Members of the Compostela Group of Universities carry out joint projects, organize training and ensure academic professional development, exchange best practices, and actively expand its network of partners around the world. Membership in the Compostela Group of Universities is yet another step for KSU in increasing its international awareness and expanding learning opportunities.
  • KSU together with Kujawy and Pomorze University in Bydgoszcz (Poland), the Kyrgyz National University (Kyrgyzstan), and the Romanian-German University of Sibiu signed the quadripartite cooperation agreement to share didactic experiences, to cooperate in business, culture, and sports, to raise quality and efficiency of studies, to strengthen the competitiveness of universities and ensure the interaction of education, business, and innovation.
