Gulistan State University was founded in 1965 on the basis of the Syrdarya State Pedagogical Institute (SDPI). Currently, 4,933 students are enrolled in the university to study in Uzbekistan. There are 7 doctors of sciences and more than 100 candidates in sciences. The total area of ​​existing laboratories is 2008 square meters to study science in Uzbekistan. The necessary material and technical base for the students to study in-depth and comprehend are created. The database of the Information Resource Center contains more than 4,000 e-books and manuals to study history and pedagogy at Uzbekistan University. The website of the University includes textbooks, lecture texts, learning guides, and other informational resources for Physics and Mathematics studies in Uzbekistan.

In total, 25 study rooms are supplied with laboratory equipment, one language room is equipped with a lingual laboratory to study foreign languages abroad. A wide range of activities is underway to enable students to use the Internet and introduce a local electronic library within the university. There are 30 computer classes at the university, with more than 700 computers to learn Information Technologies abroad. The university’s academic department, marketing department, international relations department, and other departments also serve to increase the effectiveness of scientific research and international experience to study and graduate abroad in Asia. Every year about 250 scientific articles (including 30 abroad), 5 monographs, 4 manuals, and 512 methodical manuals are published by university scientists.

Accommodation

A lot of work is being done at the university to improve the living conditions of students. The 380-seat student dormitory on the university campus has been completely renovated for study-abroad students. Communication with Uzbek students will help you not only to get acquainted with Uzbek culture but also to learn the Uzbek language to study and work abroad in Asia. Comfortable and cozy rooms are designed for 2-4 people for student life in Asia. The students’ living rooms are equipped with furniture and other equipment needed for classes and living. The furniture placed in the room is distinguished by its shape and color, as well as its creative function. The design of the bookshelf and specially designed furniture for computers adorn the room with their unique luster. 

There is a kitchen, a toilet, and a bathroom on each of the floors. In addition, each floor is equipped with modern TVs and WiFi devices, where students can get acquainted with the latest developments in our country and the world, the ongoing reforms in our country, as well as get pleasure from it. During the study period, you will be allocated a place in the bedroom and a separate bathroom and kitchen. The dormitory is a multi-ethnic student family, and we hope that living there will bring you joy and new acquaintances because this is where you will find many friends from all over the world to travel in Asia.

Exchange programs

Gulistan State University has a student exchange program with 2 foreign universities:

• A joint exchange program between the Federal University of Kazan (Privolje) and the State University of Gulistan in the field of “Psychology” (Bachelor’s Degree);
• A joint exchange program between South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezov and Gulistan State University in the field of “Kazakh language and literature” (Bachelor’s Degree);

In the years under study (2020-2021), cooperation agreements, memorandums, and agreements were signed between Gulistan State University and foreign higher education institutions and scientific research universities to provide students with internships abroad or other abroad programs.

 Today, on the basis of the existing agreements, the work has been started systematically, exchange programs between students, professors, and teachers, and employees have been cooperating on scientific and research work.

• Cooperation between the Institute of Agriculture and Agro-Technology named after A. Checki (Italy) and Gulistan State University;
• International cooperation agreement with the University of Gottingen, Germany;
• International cooperation agreement between Binary University (Malaysia) and Gulistan State University;
• Research cooperation between Hohenheim University and the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Gulistan State University;
• Cooperation agreement on scientific research between the Institute of surface chemistry named after A. Chuyko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Gulistan State University.
