Fergana Medical Institute was established in 1991 and is located in the city of Fergana, Uzbekistan. Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health ranks 8th position among all medical universities in Uzbekistan. University operates as a Medical Center of Fergana State University. A few years later, University was given the status of a government medical institute and was renamed Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health. 

Nowadays university is one of the most popular places to study MBBS in Uzbekistan. It provides a long-cycle degree in medicine and undergraduate and postgraduate courses in healthcare sciences.  Fergana Medical Institute is a government university and functions under the administration of the Ministry of Education and Science of Uzbekistan. Every student receives a recognized medical degree and gets an opportunity to study medicine and sciences.

University offers courses at the Undergraduate level in general medicine, and courses in preventive medicine, and nursing. Students can study traditional medicine and biomedical engineering in Uzbekistan. The institute receives a good number of applications from Indian students every year for MBBS courses in English medium in Uzbekistan. 

Fergana Medical Institute has accreditation with WHO and MCI/NMC. It valid its degree and made it globally recognized. Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health is one of the best medical institutes having 147 professors and around 19 departments on campus.

The duration of the medical course at Fergana Institute is 5 years which also includes internships abroad or in the affiliated hospitals. It will give theoretical as well as practical exposure to the students and an opportunity to learn from senior or experienced doctors.

Accommodation

Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health provides a separate hostel facility for both boys and girls. The hostels with 1500 bed capacity are equipped with all the latest amenities for a comfortable and homely stay. Rooms are offered with 2 and 3 beds sharing, which helps students to find new friends and assimilate into a new society. The hostel canteen is free to access for every student and foreign lecturer and gives them the ability to enjoy Uzbek national cuisine. 

All rooms have access to free Wi-fi and are equipped with essential modern amenities like a pillow, blanket, bedsheet, beds, tables, and chairs that are already added to the basic necessity list. For student recreation gyms, reading rooms and sports complex facilities are also available.

International Cooperation 

The main aim of Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health is the organization of participation in programs of international exchange, an internship abroad, and practice of applicants of all levels, pedagogical, scientific-pedagogical, and scientific workers; attracting specialists from other countries to work at the University and organizing the activities of the structural divisions of the University to intensify their participation in international educational and scientific projects.

The international department ensures the admission of foreign citizens to all forms of education, coordination, and control of the training of foreign specialists at various educational levels at specialized faculties and educational and scientific institutes of the University and its separate structural divisions. 

Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health has signed agreements of cooperation with many popular international institutes in Europe and Asia. Joint programs with higher education institutions of the Russian Federation have also been established for the students of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, etc which are managed efficiently by the International department and contributes to the overall development and benefit of the students.
