Tashkent Medical Academy

About Academy

  Tashkent Medical Academy is one of the oldest and largest higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, and the center of medical education and research in medicine and life sciences in Uzbekistan. It is recognized as “one of the leading medical institutes in the Republic of Uzbekistan”. In 1972, Tashkent Medical Institute was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor which is the labor counterpart of the military Order of the Red Banner. On April 22, 2020, Times Higher Education (THE) listed TMA as one of the best universities in Uzbekistan and worldwide for the first time, making it a 301+ ranking in Medicine and Health Sciences out of 721 universities included. The publication evaluated the results of statistical analysis of activities, data audit, the results of an annual global survey of representatives of the international academic community, employers, as well as the financial performance of the university. The main campuses are located in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. The TMA includes six faculties, 52 departments, the Multidisciplinary Clinic of TMA, as well as the Interuniversity Research Scientific Laboratory to conduct research in Medicine. There are three branches of TMA, which function as independent institutions in the cities of Urgench, Termez, and Fergana.  One of the main tasks of the Termez branch is the training of medical personnel who meet modern requirements and develop advanced technologies in medicine and healthcare in Uzbekistan. The main objective is to produce physicians who are prepared to serve the fundamental purposes of medicine and give young specialists opportunities to study abroad. Physicians must possess the attributes that are necessary to meet their individual and collective responsibilities to society.

Accommodation

  There are 5 Student Dormitories that can accommodate more than 1,700 students at the institute. Tashkent Medical Academy’s student hostels are managed by the TMA administration and the Dormitory Directorate following the academy’s regulations. A turnstile is erected at the hostel’s entrance to prohibit strangers from entering the hostel and to safeguard the safety of the students. Student dormitories are assigned to individual district guards. Each hostel offers a common area with a modern TV and furniture, as well as a kitchen, computer rooms, and a library. All apartments are renovated and comfortable to live in and study for every international student in Uzbekistan. All rooms are separated for boys and girls and equipped with needed furniture, mattress, bedsheet, pillow, pillowcases, quilt cases, blankets, and quilts. Every student has free access to common kitchens and can prepare dishes at any time.

Andijan State Medical Institute

About Institute

  Andijan State Medical Institute was established in 1955 and become one of the most popular medical institutes in Uzbekistan. Institute is a higher public medical institution in Andijan, Uzbekistan. Gulistan State University

About University

  Gulistan State University was founded in 1965 on the basis of the Syrdarya State Pedagogical Institute (SDPI). Currently, 4,933 students are enrolled in the university to study in Uzbekistan. There are 7 doctors of sciences and more than 100 candidates in sciences. The total area of ​​existing laboratories is 2008 square meters to study science in Uzbekistan. The necessary material and technical base for the students to study in-depth and comprehend are created. The database of the Information Resource Center contains more than 4,000 e-books and manuals to study history and pedagogy at Uzbekistan University. The website of the University includes textbooks, lecture texts, learning guides, and other informational resources for Physics and Mathematics studies in Uzbekistan. In total, 25 study rooms are supplied with laboratory equipment, one language room is equipped with a lingual laboratory to study foreign languages abroad. A wide range of activities is underway to enable students to use the Internet and introduce a local electronic library within the university. HISTORY

  Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino made a huge contribution to the educational development of the ancient and eternally young Bukhoro-i-Sharif, which is 30 years old. It was founded in October 1990. In March 1991, by the decision of the Presidium of the Bukhara Regional Council of People’s Deputies, the name “Abu Ali ibn Sino” appeared. The Faculty of Medicine was established in 1991, the Faculty of Dentistry – in 1992, the Department of Highly Qualified Nurses – in 1999, the Department of Medical Pedagogy –  in 2001, and the Department of Pediatrics – in 2016. As of 2018, 2 new directions have been established in the field of medical prevention and medical biology.

THE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY

  Bukhara State Medical Institute is engaged in educational activities for the implementation of basic and supplementary education programs of higher education, as well as carries out teaching-pedagogical, scientific-methodological, and other activities. Students are also involved in participating in various scientific conferences, writing scientific articles and works, and conducting research. INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

  International cooperation is an integral part of the activities of Bukhara State Medical Institute and an important tool in ensuring the quality of education and its compliance with international standards. This work is carried out within the framework of cooperation programs with leading foreign universities, the implementation of international educational programs and projects, the implementation of joint research activities, the organization of scientific and practical seminars and conferences, the exchange of teaching staff, and the development of student mobility. Bukhara State Medical Institute maintains stable ties with many foreign universities and international organizations in Asia and Europe. One of the priorities of international activity in cooperation with the universities of the CIS member states. In addition, students from medical universities in Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan are trained in educational programs of higher education during the semester and undergo practical training at the clinical bases of BukhSMI.

  Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute was founded on 26.07.1974. It is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large town of Jizzakh. Institute provides a high-quality education process for local and international students to study pedagogy and social sciences in Uzbekistan. Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute provides improving the qualifications of professors and teachers of the higher educational institution in Postgraduate and Doctoral Courses of Pedagogy in English medium of instruction.  Today, the qualified institute staff consists of 524 professors and teachers using the most modern teaching methods and technical equipment. More than 20 of them are Doctors of Science, 130 Candidates of Science and PhDs. Accommodation

  Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute provides international students in Uzbekistan with Student Dormitory with renovated apartments needed for comfortable living facilities. All students have permanent access to reading rooms, the Institute Library, recreation room, hygiene room, laundry room, storage room, common kitchens on every floor or block of rooms, gym, and other needed places. The state of the Student Hostel is studied by the management of the Institute and public organizations based on a special plan, the results of which are discussed at scientific councils. The Rector, Vice-Rectors, Deans, and Commandants are responsible for the cleanliness and sanitary condition of the Student Dormitory, the inviolability of students ‘ residences, and the effectiveness of educational work. Every international student lives in a typical two-person dorm room. It’s partitioned into four suites, with eight people per suite. In each suite, there are two-person single rooms and three two-person rooms. Each suite has a bathroom with a single shower, toilet, and two sinks. You also have a small kitchen. There are two common rooms per floor, where there are couches are tables to work at.

   The Institute pays great attention to international cooperation and exchange student programs.   In the 2021-2022 academic years, the Termez branch of Tashkent Medical Academy ensures a high-level education process for more than 2,500 students of Undergraduate Education Courses and Clinical Residency programs to study medicine in Uzbekistan. Over 125 professors-teachers work as main staff of the branch and teach young and prominent specialists in the field of healthcare and disease prevention.   Tashkent University of Information Technologies (formerly Tashkent Electrotechnical Institute of Communications) was established in 1955. It was the major and only producer of communication engineers for the Central Asian region.   Uzbekistan State University of World Languages is one of the leading universities in Tashkent city and Uzbekistan. The University of Uzbek State World Languages was established under the name of Tashkent State Pedagogy and Foreign Languages Institute in 1949. In 1992, after gaining independence, both the title and name of the institution were changed to the university and World Languages. The University concluded cooperation agreements with more than 25 foreign universities in Germany, Austria, France, the UK, the USA, Italy, Spain, Greece, Poland, China, South Korea, Egypt, Malaysia, India, and Russia. This process is strengthened through effective cooperation with diplomatic missions of foreign countries in Uzbekistan, educational and cultural centers, and international organizations  On the basis of the above-mentioned agreements, 18 foreign visiting professors are working at the University and teaching young specialists in philology. The University cooperates with the British Council within DUET (Development of Uzbekistan English Teachers). The training course consists of 144 hours and is conducted in three stages: face-to-face module – 2 weeks, distant learning module – 1-1,5 months, and second face-to-face module – 2 weeks.   Tashkent State Dental Institute was founded in 2014.   Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute was originally established in 1972 as the Central Asian Pediatric Medical Institute.   Termez State University was founded in 1992. It is a non-profit public higher education institution situated in the City of Termez, in the far south of the Republic of Uzbekistan.  It was reorganized on February 28, 1992, by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.   Namangan State University is one of the biggest higher educational institutions in Uzbekistan with more than 28,000 students and over 1000 teaching staff.   Navoi State Pedagogical Institute was established by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Uzbek USSR in 1983. By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 28, 1992, it was granted the status of Navoi State Pedagogical Institute.  Navoi State Pedagogical Institute is located in 6 areas of the city. Students can study pedagogy in English in 8 educational buildings for 5600 seats, take their sports classes in 5 renovated sports fields and 2 gyms, and enjoy their national or local Uzbek food in 3 student kitchens. It started with the faculties of Uzbek language, literature, physics, and mathematics and has since expanded to include faculties of foreign languages, physical education, medicine, history, arts, natural sciences, and English language and literature. Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent was established in 2009 in partnership with Politecnico di Torino, Italy.   The Tashkent State Pedagogical University was founded on September 14, 1935, as a pedagogical institute based on the pedagogical faculty of Central Asian State University. On February 24, 1998, the Institute was accreditated by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.   The highly qualified scientific and pedagogical staff of the University provide high-quality education for students wanted to study at Uzbek university. In 1997, the country adopted the “National Training Program”, and in 1998, the state program for health care reform, which resulted in the creation of the Faculty of Higher Nursing in 1999.  Institute offers Undergraduate courses in Medicine, Masters and Doctoral courses to improve skills and study medical science from another side. It is the best institution in Uzbekistan for over prominent 8,100 students. At Samarkand State Medical University there are 83 departments to study medicine and biology, including courses where 624 scientists and teachers conduct scientific and pedagogical activities. Lecture halls, classrooms, and education and clinical laboratories are equipped with the latest multimedia projectors, video recording, and audio equipment to ensure quality teaching and research. All the educational medical courses in Uzbekistan are available in English and Russian.   Samarkand State Medical Institute provides its student with renovated dormitories, equipped with the most modern technics and furniture. International students of the Institute are accommodated in Student Dormitory and are 100% provided with dormitory rooms. Rooms are equipped with new beds, chairs, study tables, and wardrobes. Every student has his place in the room to relax after the hard studying process.  The hostel is hosting a local computer network with the ability to access the Internet. About University

  Andijan State University was founded in 1931 as the Ferghana Pedagogical Institute, becoming an Institute of Teachers in 1939 and then the Andijan Pedagogical Institute in 1953. When Uzbekistan gained independence in 1992, the institute get its accreditation from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Accommodation

  The Andijan State University offers guaranteed and renovated accommodation for all foreign students who decide to study in Uzbekistan.
