Andijan State University was founded in 1931 as the Ferghana Pedagogical Institute, becoming an Institute of Teachers in 1939 and then the Andijan Pedagogical Institute in 1953. When Uzbekistan gained independence in 1992, the institute get its accreditation from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The main aim of the studying process is to give students the ability to study pedagogy and social sciences, improve practical skills and learn how to apply their learning and gained skills to help themselves and others.

University staff work to build on the learning of the international students and work on the development of skills and attitudes of the learners who want to study history and philology in Uzbekistan. Pedagogy enables the students to get a thorough understanding of the subject and helps them in applying the learning in their daily lives outside of the classroom.

Andijan State University offers a range of study programs in social sciences across its 11 faculties and provides high-quality study among other Uzbek universities. The scientific and educational research activity of Andijan State University is very comprehensive and rich. The researchers often receive grants for their scientific projects, take part and win in regional and international conferences, participate in competitions of scientific works and regularly publish the results of their research in journals and collections of scientific papers.

Andijan State University provides 55 fields of study for Undergraduate Courses in Pedagogy and 26 fields for a Master’s degree in Uzbekistan. The campus is located in the city of Andijan, located in eastern Uzbekistan in the Ferghana Valley

Each department of Andijan State University offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses:

Accommodation

 

The Andijan State University offers guaranteed and renovated accommodation for all foreign students who decide to study in Uzbekistan. The dormitories have comfy living conditions with all the essentials. The boys and girls live separately. Each room is fully furnished and can be shared by 2-3 people. The mattress, bedsheet, pillow, pillowcase, quilt case, blanket, and quilt are provided at no extra charge and laundered regularly. The common kitchens include dining tables and chairs, sink counters, cupboards, refrigerators, electric cookers, microwave ovens, and kettles. The bathrooms and restrooms are located on each resident’s floor. All the students have access to a 24-hour wireless internet connection for academic purposes.

The dormitories have a serious approach to security and safety. There is a warden, available on all days of the week; a pass system, and surveillance cameras. Also, the buildings are equipped with fire extinguishers and efficient emergency exit signs. 

International Cooperation

 

Andijan State University has partnerships with over 50 universities worldwide and offers a range of international study exchanges for its students such as Erasmus+. Students can also do internship programs abroad, learning from and working with professionals in their field. The university also actively participates in the Fair of Innovative Ideas, Technologies, and Projects regularly, helping partner students with employers and workplaces.

Becoming an exchange student gives every young person more than knowledge about another country and its language and culture. A year of study abroad teaches students about building friendships, taking responsibility for themselves, respecting differences, and tolerating the beliefs of others.
